E-BikeKit™ E-Brake Handles (2 included in each set) E-Brake Handles replace your bike's original brake handles and have an electric cutoff switch in them. When the handle is pulled it automatically cuts all power to the motor. This is an added safety feature and can help in the event that you are unable to let go of the throttle. It also helps to extend the life of your brake pads.E-Brakes are recommended but they are optional. The caliper brakes on your bike are string enough that if engaged, even with the throttle still engaged at full power you will stop. If you choose not to use the e-brakes on your conversion you can cut the wires from the controller permanently or simple zip-tie them at the controller to keep them out of the way.
