E-BikeKit™ Twist Throttle

The twist throttle type is similar to a motorcycle throttle but a lot easier to twist (it won't hurt your hand it you are using for an extended period). Typically the twist throttle is used on bikes that have a thumb gear changing system. That said it comes down to personal choice as the twist throttle can also be used on a bike that has a twist gear changing system. The reality is you would have to reach over the throttle end to change twist gears. But on an electric bike you may find you do not change gears as often and most times can remain in a higher gear using the motor more often to accelerate.

The split-twist throttle is the most popular throttle type, next is the thumb and then the full twist.
